The purpose of the Meditate Now: 21 Days to Meditate Regularly MiniCourse & Ezine is to help you to establish meditation as a regular part of your life. Depending on your starting place, you will have your own unique ways of benefiting, which will be different from those who are starting in another place. Everyone is different, which is one of the reasons we offer two options for the free MiniCourse & Ezine.
The Meditate Now MiniCourse is not designed to teach you to meditate, although it does contain plenty of information. Instead, the purpose is to help those who know how to meditate to do what most people find to be the most difficult: making their meditation practice regular.
If you wish to learn to meditate, you can find a meditation teacher locally or Jeanie can teach you by phone. She has created a Learn to Meditate Package or you can use her other consultation services. She has also recently developed a program to help those who are new to meditation, Practice Meditation Now.
The 21-day MiniCourse is a series of email messages which include recommended resources to encourage and support you in developing a meditation practice that is regular, natural, and satisfying. In the beginning of the MiniCourse, you'll identify an intention and a plan for a regular meditation practice that works for you. You'll receive encouraging ideas, techniques, and practical suggestions.
Even if you do not open the email message immediately, please consider that each is a reminder to meditate. Included in this Mini Course are videos with brief guided meditations by Jeanie Marshall and a nature slide show by Chris Scott. MP3 audio alternatives without the slide show are also available. On several days through the MiniCourse & Ezine, Jeanie provides audio commentaries to enhance your process.
Everyone is different. You may find that you must go beyond the scope of these messages to achieve your meditation goals, or perhaps you'll find that these tips, techniques, and encouraging words will guide you to get or stay on the path you want. I have included many suggested resources for your further exploration during or after the course.
Why 21 Days?
To have a meditation practice, you must practice meditation.
I've chosen 21 days for the Mini Course because it is generally accepted that it takes about 21 days to establish a new habit. Let me qualify that: it takes 21 days of practicing the new behavior to establish it as a habit. If you only think about it or talk about it, then the behavior does not become a habit, only an unfulfilled goal.
So, for 21 days (and beyond if you remain subscribed), you can have my energy with you for support and encouragement. I'll provide tips, suggestions, resources, and reminders. The rest is up to you. If you need someone to hit you over the head to make a change in your life, you'll have to look elsewhere. My approach is to encourage you to make the choices you want.
Two Options: "21 Messages in 21 Days" and "7 Messages in 21 Days"
The Meditate Now Mini Course provides essentially the same content, regardless of which Sending Schedule you choose. On the first day and then every third or fourth day on either course, you receive new information on email and an audio message for the first 21 days; on the two or three days following those messages, you receive encouraging messages on the "21 Messages in 21 Days" Option and no messages on the "7 Messages in 21 Days" Option. The Sending Schedule illustrates this better.
The "21 Messages in 21 Days" option is recommended for you if you know you will appreciate a reminder on a daily basis. If you have a tendency to feel guilty when you are reminded, being reminded by a daily email is more likely to annoy you than encourage you. If that describes you, definitely choose the "7 Messages in 21 Days" Mini Course.

Please keep in mind that this course is not designed to teach you to meditate. You may feel you need some individual assistance to learn how to meditate or want to purchase a program designed to help those who are new to meditation, Practice Meditation Now. |
