Beginning in January, the JMvoice Monthly Ezine will no longer be published as a separate Ezine. Instead, I will be making the Empowering Practices a weekly Ezine and including information about meditation as one of many empowering practices.

Most subscribers to this Ezine are already subscribers to Empowering Practices If you are not now a subscriber to Empowering Practices, you can go to the Ezine Subscription Page.

As part of this change, the Empowering Practices Ezine will be published weekly with only one comprehensive Empowering Practice each month, the only edition that will also be published on the Internet. The majority of the editions will be brief or moderately brief, as I know that you have a considerable amount of information that comes into your email box.

JMvoice Monthly Ezine will be published as usual in December.

A Meditation Tip

Regular meditation yields a variety of benefits in addition to the main purpose of meditation (whatever that may be for you). Balance is one of those benefits.

Balance is an in-the-moment dynamic. You will not "always" be in a state of balance, because this is life creating itself, with movement and a certain amount of messiness. Far more valuable than constant balance is an intention to move yourself back to a state of balance as soon as possible when you get out of balance. To do that, you must pay attention to your feelings.

When you feel good, you are in a state of balance. What you feel not-good, you are in a state of imbalance. I often say that being out of balance is not a big deal unless you make a big deal about it. Being out of balance is a powerful opportunity for clarity and forward movement, especially when you are intolerant of being out of balance for long.

When you approach balance in this way, you can more easily find or regain your balance in every situation. You do not have to figure out all the aspects of every situation in which you find yourself, you simply pay attention to how you feel and realign yourself when you are off balance.

I encourage you to create an intention about balance in your life. You may resonate with what I say about balance or you may have a very different perspective. I encourage you to create a statement of intention that assists you in all situations, not just in one. For example, many people are concerned with their work/home life balance. That is a powerful situation to balance, for sure, but what about all the other situations that require intention to balance?
