Happy Fall! The Voice of Jeanie Marshall Ezine enjoyed a vacation in August. I hope your vacation either was wonderful if you've already had it, or will be wonderful if it's yet to come.
Since empowerment and meditation are so closely related, I want to direct you to a series of articles I'm writing on my Empowerment Blog. So far, four articles have been posted in the series. If you prefer to read them in chronological order (recommended), the first in the series is What is this Thing Called “Empowerment”?
A List of Personal Development Blogs is circulating the Internet. It's modeled after the List of Outstanding Women Bloggers which is also still alive on the web. The list is posted at my blog, as well as at the blogs of many of those listed. If you want to see the most up-to-date list, I suggest you go to the blog of the creator of the list, Priscilla Palmer, Personal Development Demands Success. If you have a favorite site that has not yet made the list, please add it! Priscilla makes immediate updates.
I'll be a guest on two different radio shows in September. On September 20, I'll be Tonya Ramsey's guest on her Journey to Self Show on the topic of Empowerment. You can listen live to this informal show beginning at 6 p.m. Greenwich Mean time (10 a.m. Pacific time; 11 a.m. Mountain time; noon Central time; 1 p.m. Eastern time). The call-in number for listeners is (646) 716-8056.
On September 25, I'll be the guest on Diane Brandon's Voice America Radio Show "Living your Power" on the Health channel. Our topic is "Personal Empowerment -- What it is and How to Attain it." The time of the live broadcast, including questions from the audience, is 8 p.m. Greenwich mean time (12 noon Pacific time; 1 p.m. Mountain time; 2 p.m. Central time; 3 p.m. Eastern time). Listener call-in number for questions is (866) 472-5792.

I'm developing a new free Mini Course: 21 Days to Meditate Regularly. The purpose is to help subscribers to establish meditation as a regular part of their lives. If you've subscribed to the "Relaxing Tips" list that accompanied the free guided meditation downloads, the Mini Course will be an expanded version of that.
More about the Mini Course
Depending on your starting place, you'll benefit from the course in ways that are different from others who are starting in a different place. Probably you are already a meditator, otherwise you're unlikely to be subscribed to this Ezine. I have in mind that the Mini Course be useful to those of all different experience levels, and that each person will develop a unique intention to benefit the most. The key aspects I offer are encouragement and support to make meditation a regular part of the subscriber's life. In the end, of course, it's the responsibility of the person to actually do the meditation on a regular basis.
The 21 Days to Meditate Regularly Mini Course will be a series of email messages that help you to identify an intention and a plan for a regular meditation practice that works for you. You'll receive encouraging ideas, techniques, and practical suggestions. Included in this Mini Course are two videos with brief guided meditations and a nature slide show by my dear friend, Chris Scott. An mp3 audio-only alternative will also be available.
Mini Course with Two Options:
"EveryDay for 21 Days" and "EveryThirdDay for 21 Days"
The two different formats of the Mini Course provide essentially the same content. On the first day and then every third day on both options, you receive new information; on the two days following, you receive a message each day if you're subscribed to the Everyday Option and no messages on the EveryThirdDay Option.
I've developed a chart for the sign-up page that makes the different options clear at a glance. The EveryDay process is recommended for you if you know you'll appreciate a reminder on a daily basis. If you have a tendency to feel guilty when you're reminded of something you haven't done, a daily email is more likely to annoy you than encourage you, so you'll benefit more by enrolling in the EveryThirdDay schedule.
How To be Notified When the Mini Course is Ready
If you want to be notified when the Mini Course is ready, please go to the Announcement Registration Page to sign up. You may also register for the announcement by sending an email message to announce-21days@aweber.com You must register and confirm your registration. Then you will receive only one message from that list, telling you the Mini Course is ready and how to register. Yes, you will have to register again for the Mini Course itself. Then the Announcement list will be deleted.
By the way, the Announcement Registration Page is the same page where I will post information and sign up when the new Mini Course is ready, so if you prefer, you can bookmark the page and check periodically. More information about the Mini Course will be posted when it's ready.
Q: When will the Mini Course be available to the public?
A: Soon.

September is Abundance month on DailyAffirm. So, it's fitting to feature The Golden Pool of Abundance Guided Meditation in this edition of the JMvoice Ezine. As I say in Jeanie on Abundance, you can learn about abundance using money as a vehicle, but money and abundance are not synonymous -- and neither is the same as prosperity. I believe that if you unhook from the belief that money and prosperity and abundance are the same, you'll experience more of all three! You have a right to be inundated with all three, if that's your desire. |

Right now, make a commitment to yourself about something you want to change about or add to your meditation practice. Perhaps this suggestion will prompt you to open your calendar and schedule your next meditation time or yoga practice. Perhaps my suggestion will inspire you to call a friend and make a meditation date. Perhaps you decide to read a book or listen to a CD, so this could be a good time to choose one, purchase one, or open one that is already on your shelf.

Articles by Jeanie. Find forty articles on empowering subjects. Many of my articles are circulating the Internet. Here's the list at Ezine Articles Directory, which is one of my favorite directories, with many other authors participating. Also check out the Alphabetical Listing of Articles for one of my blogs.
JMvoice.com. The Voice of Jeanie Marshall offers a few articles and sells my guided meditations on CD albums and MP3 files.

I consider that mismanaged stress is the basis for all illness and other problems. Call it stress; call it resistance; call it adversity; call it unhappiness. Call it whatever you want -- if you have mismanaged it, you are journeying down a road of problems.
Here is a program that is very much in keeping with my own meditations and consultations. It's Melt Stress by Adam Eason, who has a series of very helpful programs which I've been reviewing. This is one of my favorites, which I highly recommend to anyone. Available on CD and MP3. |
