From the Voice of Jeanie

More, more, more. This is the mantra of the Universe.

More means expansion. What you give your attention to expands. You create more of what you look at. Where are you looking? What are you expanding?

Right now, I seem to be expanding web sites! Without skipping a beat in my coaching and consulting practice, I keep writing and expanding in ways that are truly exciting for me.

One web site is for professional coaches and consultants. At some point, I might make it a membership site, but for now, it is open to all. If you are interested, please visit at Writing For and By Coaches.

Featured CD Album

Cover, Golden Pool of Abundance

If you have ever listened to The Golden Pool of Abundance guided meditation, you know that I use the phrase "more, more, more" several times. I know that when many people think of "abundance" they think of money or prosperity. That is a fine association provided your thoughts and opinions about money and prosperity feel good to you! Abundance and growth are everywhere. In the Western world, this is springtime, with blooms and baby birds popping out to meet the world and say, "here I am!" That is abundance.

Thoughts on Meditation

Consider today what you want to expand in your life. Put aside the wants of other people. You might consider them later if you feel that is necessary. Right now, though, focus on what you want or want more of.

You might start with a speck of an idea and expand that. You might look around the room you're in right now and let your eyes rest on something you want to increase or magnify. There are no limitations on this exercise.

Have you decided the desired focus of your attention? If it is easy for you to stay focused on what you want, rather than what you do not want, you will experience it manifesting in your life very soon. If you focus on what you want and then move your attention to something else you like or appreciate or prefer, you will also manifest what you want more easily.

If your attention slips away from focusing on what you want to focusing on the lack or opposite of what you want, the manifestation will take longer. Generally, your attention goes to what is most familiar or most practiced.

So, I am suggesting that you make thoughts about what you want more familiar and more practiced than thoughts about what you do not want. Ideas that are familiar can be like grooves that pull you forward.

In busy times and in the mode of multi-tasking, it is easy to lose the focus of your attention. Do you know how you can tell for sure that you are focused on what you want? You can tell by how you feel. Focusing on what you want feels good; focusing on the lack or opposite of what you want feels not-good. If you have become overly familiar with what you do not want, it is possible that your feelings are somewhat numb. Or if not numb, perhaps your feelings are ready for fine-tuning.

The best way to fine-tune your feelings is to ask yourself how you feel right now. This is an inner dialogue, and quite honestly, no one else's business. If you know how you feel when you are giving your attention to a subject, you know immediately if it is a wanted or not-wanted subject. Or perhaps it is a wanted or not-wanted aspect of a subject you want, like, appreciate, want more of, or prefer.

When you are clear what you want, sit and relax. Think of this as a pre-meditation time. Breathe in the essence of what you want. Ride your breath — in and out — with the essence of what you want for a minute or so. Relax with each breath.

Then put all the thoughts on this subject aside. I am going to repeat a point I made earlier: truly you do not need to keep focusing on what you want in order to manifest it, but you do need to stop focusing on what you do not want.

After this exercise, meditate in the way that appeals to you: silent meditation, guided
meditation, meditation with music, focused on a candle. Then you will be more receptive to experiencing more, more, more of what you want.
