Reflections on Last Month's Writing in
JMviews Guided Meditation & Empowerment Consulting Blog
March, 2006
March always comes so fast. Most people are happy for February to be a short month. So, here I am, looking back over my blog postings for the previous month. I'll give you highlights, insights, and favorites, with links to the articles. I enjoy taking this time to reflect on writings and I am delighted to have you with me on this part of my journey.
Feel free to download and forward this Ezine to your friends if you think they'll enjoy it -- be certain to include your own personal message. Anyone is welcome to subscribe to the Email version (see information below).
Make it a Magnificent Month!
Jeanie Marshall, Empowerment Consultant and Coach

Groundhog Day. Growing up in New England, I was quite familiar with this Pennsylvania celebration of modern day mythology. So on February 2, I get into the spirit of the day, and in most recent years have used it as a chance to mention one of my all-time favorite films by the same name. Read the Groundhog Day article.
Agreements and Disagreements. I wrote two different articles on this topic. Managing Agreements and Disagreements introduces some basic concepts, including the powerful model called the "Abilene Paradox." In An Experience of Managing Agreements and Disagreements, I describe one of my own earlier experiences with these concepts. In a future edition of the Empowering Practices Ezine, possibly this month, I plan to devote to this topic.
Articles from my web site. Since I was so busy on other writing projects, I took the opportunity to post some of my popular articles from the Marshall House Web site. These articles are also circulating the web. They are: Say Goodbye to Struggle, Pluck it for the Bucket, Watch Your Language, and Fly a Kite in the Energy Field.
DailyAffirm Blog Tie-in. Since the DailyAffirm Blog is already established with daily messages, I have not used it as a vehicle for reflecting on my own experiences with it as a writing project. And, of course, one of the purposes of the JMviews Blog is to be self-reflecting, so I am posting one or two articles each month related to the DailyAffirm process or about the theme. So I wrote an introduction to the February Theme of Love and I quoted the Beatles lyrics from the very important message that All You Need Is Love.
Abundance Theme. I also posted an article which I re-wrote from information I send to subscribers of the DailyAffirm email list. Subscribers tell me how very powerful the focus on Abundance is for them (each September), so I wanted to make my Thoughts on Abundance for Personal Empowerment more widely available.

When visiting the JMviews Empowerment and Guided Meditation Blog, you can find articles by date, by category, or by placing your pointer on the calendar and surveying the titles. You can also subscribe to one of the RSS feeds.
Remember, you can make a comment on an article I've written on the blog at any time. Your comments come to me for moderation and then are posted. When someone finds my blog for the first time and resonates with the ideas, it's very common for the person to read many, even all, of the entries regardless of date, so your comments will be read by others.
When you write a comment on the blog, you must include a valid email address (which only I will see) and your name (your first name or a screen name is sufficient). You may, of course, include your full name and a web site, if you have one. Your email address will never be added to a list without your request and confirmation. Your comment will be sent to me so that I can moderate. This gives me a chance to read your comment before it's posted. I respond to each comment.

The Abilene Paradox and Other Meditations on Management Jerry Harvey developed the model that is now known as the "Abilene Paradox." The dynamic is present when the openly expressed agreement opposes the privately felt or expressed perspective. It occurs when it is not acceptable to disagree, especially with the boss. |
DailyAffirm. Here is additional information about this process and the email subscription. Read the DailyAffirm blog. Sign up for the free DailyAffirm Email List.
Guided Meditations at JMvoice.com. My new web site, The Voice of Jeanie Marshall, explains Guided Meditations, offers free MP3 downloads of brief guided meditations, and sells my guided meditations on CD albums and MP3 files.
