Jeanie's Guided Meditations

Not every meditation has to be deep to be effective. For some individuals, moving in and out of an altered state is very empowering and replenishing. Other individuals see images that carry them into a deep and transformative state. Some hear Jeanie's words, while others are aware of her voice without focusing on the words or taking in the understanding of the concepts.

Most of Jeanie's clients and friends have responsible jobs and demanding personal commitments. Many try to achieve balance in their lives with regular exercise, massage, meditation, hobbies, and leisure times with friends. One dynamic she is aware of when leading clients in guided meditations, is that she's providing a distraction from stress, resistance, and decision-making. For those 20 minutes or so, they let go of most or all resistance and feel the flow of energy through them. She coaxes them into an involvement with the energy that flows through them during the guided meditations, which Jeanie calls a "pleasant, empowering distraction."

She watches their vibration and mood click upward. They are replenished and revived. They may quickly return their attention to the stressors in their lives, but they are generally feeling better, and so they can manage both themselves and the stressors better.

The Breath

All her guided meditations begin with focusing on the breath, and most end with focusing on the breath. Jeanie says, "I stay away from teaching clients specific breathing techniques, unless they request. The reason is that when people focus on their breath and breathe intentionally, the breath usually changes in exactly the way it needs to change for greater calmness and creativity. Experience is the best teacher."

Qualities of the breath such as length, depth, sound, cadence, and texture usually change. A meditative breath is long and deep, quiet and smooth. The focus on the breath allows changes to happen naturally, and rarely is anything more needed. However, some people do find it helpful to focus on these and other qualities and intentionally change them in order to put themselves in a meditative state.

Energy and Energy Fields

Jeanie helps people to understand and read energy and energy fields. Each subject (person, place, thing, or idea) has an energy field around it that can be viewed or otherwise perceived by sensitive persons. The energy field also impacts non-sensitive persons, even though they may not be aware of it or may not be able to articulate it. This energy field supports, underpins, and impacts physical reality.

All too often, we stay fixated in the physical, trying to "fix" discomfort there. Some believe a problem is "solved" because the annoying symptoms have dissolved or moved. Most of this tinkering is a temporary solution because we have not gone deeply enough into the energy field to make changes there. Sometimes tinkering, even though well-meaning, worsens a situation.

Energy is the life force of our experiences. Most individuals use only a portion of the energy available to them. As we become more aware of how energy surrounds and impacts us, we can release untapped resources. These untapped resources can be a path to empowerment.
